Install pyRevit
If you don’t already have pyRevit, download and install it from pyrevitlabs.io. Follow their installer — no configuration needed. Revit will reload automatically.

Download and unzip the extension
Click Download on GitHub above, then download the repository as a ZIP (Code → Download ZIP). Unzip it anywhere permanent on your machine — for example C:\pyRevit-Extensions\datum-notes-revit. Note the path to the DatumNotes.extension folder inside.

Add the extension in pyRevit Settings, then reload
In Revit, open the pyRevit tab and click Settings. Scroll to Custom Extensions and add the path to the DatumNotes.extension folder. Click Save and then Reload. A new Datum Notes tab will appear in the Revit ribbon.
